The Catacoustic Consort's exploration of 17th-century Italian song has drawn praise from critics and music enthusiasts alike, since Catacoustic won the national recording competition sponsored by the Naxos recording label and Early Music America and subsequently released a CD with Naxos to international acclaim.  Join us for this intimate and passionate concert of songs of love and longing, featuring soprano Laurie Heimes (New Jersey) and tenor Craig Lemming (Zimbabwe) accompanied by Michael Leopold (Milano, Italy) on theorbo and Annalisa Pappano (Cincinnati) on lirone (pictured above) and bass viola da gamba.  Composers will include Sigismondo d'India, Giulio Caccini, Barbara Strozzi, Jacopo Peri, and Belerofonte Castaldi.
